Wish him luck but hes not he manfor me though I will never forgive him for leaving us for the "massive" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plZRe1kPWZw just my take on it
A chance to carry on managing in the premier league and probably more money? Who wouldn't have done that?
and?? Hill probably dint with yours but you dont want him back!! Yes, Wilson got us into the Premier league...he also got us relegated!!!
I don't want Keith Hill back because he was *****. Not because he left us for another 13 years ago... My point was that it's football. Not worth holding a grudge over.
I remember Danny being asked on the training pitch if he was going to Wednesday he said it wasn't an issue because he had not been asked.A few days later Wednesday chairman said something like "it is with deep regret that for fear of upsetting our good friends at Barnsley we ask for permission to talk with Danny Wilson"Maybe its quite possible that Danny was telling the truth all along.
Oh Dear. If you were approached by another employer offering to increase your wages substantially and giving the opportunity to work at the highest level, I am sure you would jump at the chance. I know I would. What loyalty do managers get when things don't go too well ? Fans and the board want em out. Very childish for anyone to hold a grudge against someone looking to better themselves in their chosen career. As to the people who say he will ruin the memories. How can that possibly happen, our promotion under Wilson is written in history nothing will ever change the fantastic memories of that season or indeed our prem season, regardless of how it ended. Most people who I hear quoting this are not even old enough to have experienced those times. Any true fan will get fully behind Danny starting against Leeds on Saturday. If anyone gives him a hostile welcome, OK it will be their stupid choice and brings their true loyalty into question in my opinion, it can only harm the team if the supporters are not united behind the board on this one. Yooooooooooouuuuuu Reddddddddzzzzzzzzzzzz
Agree - And even more childish to continue to hold that grudge for more than 15 years. Come on Chester, you really are in a minority here. Agree again - Allan Clarke had a moderately successful spell in charge second time around, including a near miss on the play offs, but which ultimately ended in the sack after about 4 years. His second spell comes nowhere near the first one in supporter's fond memories, but no way does it diminish his reputation at the club or in supporter's affections. I hope Danny is here for a long time now, but unless he is here more than 10 or 12 years, taking him up to his mid 60s and possible retirement, his time here will end either with the sack (inevitable fact of life for managers), or with him moving on to another better job like last time, and if tha happens it will likely mean that his second spell has been bloody successful, again. Either way, I just hope he is here now for a considerable period of time.
The sensible view on Wilson is to say that he has the energy and motivation to take this challenge on, knowing that if it fails, he could damage his previous BFC reputation (of Prem promotion). I believe Wilson knows he can make a success of his second spell at BFC and clearly he loves the Club. Right man at the right time.
