Been talking to a few mates about Danny Wilson and his sacking and all of them said the same. To quote them they said things like "That's the best decision Barnsley will make all season" "It took them long enough" and "Why did they appoint him in the first place" and " although Lee Johnson wouldn't be a great choice he'd be far better than Wilson" The more I hear about Wilson the more I feel Barnsley has made the right decision. Unfortunately he's left behind a squad far worse than Hill or Flitcroft did which is quite an achievement
Says a lot really though. And looking at the squad he's built I can't say I disagree with them. The new manager is going to have a massive job on his hands. I agree managers should get more time but only the right managers.
Well it says that all your mates agree with you.... Unless something changes, I'm certain that the new manager will be required to sign players that fit within the framework laid down by the board i.e. young, "hungry" and with re-sale value. Of course, there is always a chance that a new manager could get these players playing better for him. I wish him well with the likes of Cranie, Nyatanga and Jennings to name but three...
I don't need your mates telling me the club have done the right thing, I've been going to the games and witnessing the shambles first hand, it had to be done and it's was let's move on to the next one.
Well it's an opinion based forum so I thought I'd mention some opinions from non-BFC supporters, the results, performances and signings hardly back up people that wanted Wilson to have more time
Well after thinking long and hard about it I've come to the conclusion that thi mates sound like a reight set of bummers, al sithi
So non-BFC supporters have decided he should be sacked having probably never seen us play and being unaware of the circumstances. Can't prove it but you can't underestimate the positive influence that Winnall and Williams had on that side both mentally and on the field. Based on the evidence, should Neil Redfearn be sacked as manager of Leeds? Hardly pulling any trees up is he for a team with their support.
it depends on each and everyones opinion so far the feeling I get is one of that the club has made a mistake. Again its all down to opinion.
Re: it depends on each and everyones opinion I think it all depends on who replaces him. Sean O'Driscoll is a big no no from me but Johnson or Rosler I think would be good choices.
I agree about O'Driscoll being a no no but also Johnson too, due to the fact he is under contract till 2018. This would mean we would be having to shell out more coin in compensation to Oldham. This leave Mr Rosler....and I think that largely he is the one most preferred on here.
Re: I agree about O'Driscoll being a no no Yeah that's a good point. Already spent enough money paying off managers. Neal Ardley was another one that I thought would be a good appointment but his name's gone off the radar probably due to his loyalty towards Wimbledon
