I never thought he should have been sacked so early, however I think he dropped a clanger in not bringing in his long term assistant Frank Barlow. Obviously over the years working together they would have known how each other worked and considering the situation the club was in facing relegation found it really odd when it didn't happen and Chris Hutchings was brought in as his assistant. Maybe things would have worked out better.. who knows. Lee Johnson could have a shake up with the coaching staff as something not working... What do they work on in training drills !
we were not facing relegation when we sacked danny. The football at the time wasnt great but then when has it been for the last 10 years? massive mistake, the board acting for their own reasons we are not privvy to or listening far too early to a few disgruntled fans. whats happening with the manager now is a direct result of this situation.
Sacking Danny was a big mistake, perhaps the biggest mistake they've made since the one the board at the time made when Danny resigned. If only we could find out the truth about his sacking.
It doesn't really make any difference to me who sacked him; what I want to know, as do a lot of fans, is why. To date we still haven't had an honest answer or believable explanation from the club.
