and already pissed off with it.... it has to rank in the same levels of paint drying sports such as F1/Bicycling/horse racing/cricket...... and the non sports such as darts/snooker/angling..... all less than interesting than watching grass grow.
Some games can be boring I'll agree. Starts to liven up in the second week when the seeds in both parts of the draw start meeting each other or come up against the better players. I admire the fitness and stamina of some of them. Some footballers play two games in a week and claim they are knackered. Top tennis players can play two games that can last anywhere from 2-4 hours and in the singles especially unlike football where players are not involved for every minute of a game those guys are.
It really is the most irritating yawn fest but the blue rinse brigade need their posh 2 week outing once a year
I certainly do not watch it....would rather stick pins in my eyes that watch that rubbish.... I just get sick to the back teeth that we have it rammed down our throats.
If you think cricket is a "paint drying" sport then you clearly have never been to a match, or watched one from start to finish. If you want something happening every few seconds I suppose you could watch basketball. I prefer a game that develops over a period of time and thrills you when something good happens. Like a wicket, or a six....or a goal at Oakwell.
I tried to watch a ladies match yesterday but gave up because one of them went "arghhh wheeeee" each time she hit ball. What the **** is all that about?
I've won quite a bit at some of those sports. Others don't interest me. But no way you should have a go at folk that do. I was quite good at snooker and darts. Nowt better than hitting a 180 or a big finish. Had a 68 break at snooker too. It's nervy getting position and opening a frame up. But it all comes down to competing and wanting to win.
There's about 7.2bn channels in operation and the OP is moaning because a sport he doesn't like is on one of them. Priceless.
