Or win our other game in hand. Either way's fine by me. My usual mindless optimism tells me that with the distraction of the cup gone these players can pull together and get a few results from our remaining games. Everybody else is doing it so why can't we?
It's very easy to be pessimistic in our situation. Yes - the league table isn't pretty at the moment, but genuinely a couple of wins piles the pressure back onto the other candidates. It's in our hands, it's up to us. The time to get depressed is when it's up to someone else. If we can win our home games, and get a surprise win away from home, we're laughing.
agreed any team from blackpool / coventry / leicester / wednesday / soton / barnsley could go down. 53 points will stay up so 2 wins and a draw with 6 games including 3 home games remaining. Just need that elusive away win to pile the pressure elsewhere. If you cant be optimistic why bother
