Did she eventually settle down?

 

She's terrific Laura thanks. She had a good night, it didn't take her long to realise that when she cries the Rattling Chronicle of Death comes.

No, I wouldn't do that.

The Chronicle of Death comes a-rattling through the door when she summons it by crying. Only had to do it twice and she settled down

My dad had a dog which he picked up as a stray wandering around outside the hospital where my mum worked. He was thinking of getting a dog and this had been there a few days so he went to have a look...after he'd stroked it, it just followed him all over so it was settled really.
A while later I picked up a newspaper and rolled it up to swat a fly, the dog went straight out of the way under the table shivering!
No doubt it had been hit from whoever had it before.
Taking it for walks in the woods it would never go out of sight either.
