I may be jumping to conclusions here but I sincerely hope that they're not being kept back to ensure they're 100% for Wembley.
You're probably right but it wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility for it to happen. The only reason I raised it was that I'd heard Sam was touch and go on Friday so clearly he wasn't if he's now missing a second game.
Why do you sincerely hope not? I'm not for or against it, just curious as it is something that would be done in football.
i don't think for a second he's holding anyone back to prioritise wembley. if anything, i'd say the opposite. he'll be holding them back BECAUSE league is the priority. bringing them back too early could take them out for the rest of the season.
It's just a personal view but I think the league is far more important than the JPT which, when compared to reaching the playoffs and potentially being promoted, is merely window dressing for the season overall.
I would be very surprised if Hecky, Wright and the coaching team don't see the league as the priority. But with our squad we simply have to play the best available players every game.
