Speaking to a Washday massive season ticket holder he said today that he has no idea why they signed Winnall as all he will be is a bench warmer and that their style of football will not suit him, he also said he doesn't want them to sign Rhodes, finally after so many years I've met a massive supporter who speaks sense.

Why doesnt he want to sign Rhodes? Class signing for this league. Will help them try reach for the play offs next season when they bottle it again this season. :D

Spoke to a few of them that aren't really bothered about the Rhodes signing, and weren't really bothered about the Winnall signing either. They've got an equally good finisher in Hooper, but they've nobody to put it on a plate for any of them. Shame.

Like others have said on here I think they just signed him to try de rail our play off push. They have that much money they can.

I know a few of em and all of them say it's not a striker they need, it's a creative midfielder..

He was a very very very cheap goalscorer on the market. To sign him meant weakening a rival (play off rival or otherwise), stock-piling decent players for the promotion push and securing a possible decent fee if he is sold in the future. No brainer for a club with millions of pounds to spend.

Agree entirely. It's a win win for Wendy as they can always sell him in the summer for a realistic price rather than the giveaway we did. Look how much of a struggle it is to get a replacement. Still cant get over the price we sold at.

They are just randomly signing players for the sake of having them. They haven't established a "system" yet.
