That poor woman has died without being able to say goodbye to her son and give him a proper burial. If ever there was a justification for torture to extract information then Ian Brady is it.
Was reading a newspaper piece this morning that talked about her chance of finding peace now being 'irrevocably lost', and was in tears at the thought of the unimaginable hurt this poor woman has lived with for so very long. Not to mention the terror that lad would have experienced at the hands of monsters such as Brady/Hindley. One thing I can guarantee you is that if Brady was handed over to me and my mates, all of whom like me are sound, calm, reasonable blokes, we'd have the location of that poor little lad's resting place within the hour.
We spare the monster and put an innocent woman through a lifetime of unimaginable pain - sometimes being a civilised society can go to hell. Brady and Hindley should have been tortured, brutally if necessary, to reveal every single one of their murderous secrets. Like you say I'd have given them an hour before the details were extracted. Those poor children and their parents did not deserve what happened to them. If there is any shred of comfort to take from this it's that she will be back with little Keith now. God bless them.
He wasn't spared. He's been locked up in prison against his wishes all his life. he's been kept alive to suffer against his wishes. He want's to die and we are forcing him to live, forcing him to suffer the punishment for what he did.
Yeah I'm sure Winnie Johnson died a happy woman knowing that. He has maintained a perverse control over the details for decades. Any parent would want to lay their child to rest and she had that taken right from her because of this monster. Brady was spared any real justice.
