Cheap option yet Winnie got us out of the collective ***** before and then got it poured on him. Both have good links with BFC and Redders would have a good teacher ready for when Winnie was ready to call it a day.

No thanks, lets get a fresh set up in. Winstanley had his time at the club and a great one at that.

I personally would prefer someone without any connections to the club, or atleast not a former fans favourite. Am I the only one!?

It's not my brother in law at Huddersfield mate, its another family member!!! Im sure in his time he will go into management, infact was between him and Steve Thompson for the Notts County job.......... But anyway, back to Barnsley, I just think a ex red is not we are looking for. What have Winstanley and Redders done in management???

    Eric Winstanley was Assistant Manager

When we won promotion to the Premiership in 1996/97 and the Play Off Final in 2000 .

Yeah I know that mate, but on that sole record does it warrent him to become manager at BFC??? I can understand peoples view on wanting him back, but we need to move forward and look beyond ex players or ex staff.

    As I said earlier today

When we appoint a new manager , I hope it's purely on his own ability , not because he has had a connection with the club . As for the two people you've mentioned , I love them both to bits and would hate for their achievements to be tarnished if their appointments were to be unsuccessful . That does not mean to say that that either of these legends couldn't do the job .
