if I have a wisdom tooth removed tomorrow how long to recover? will I be well enough to play football on sunday?
Depends if it's local or general anasthetic. I've got to have one out under general, and been told I'll probably need a week off work afterwards. Local I'm guessing you'll be fine for Sunday.
I'd be tempted to say No, especially if you are having it taken out at the hospital. You may have stitches which can take a week to ten days to dissolve. http://hcd2.bupa.co.uk/fact_sheets/html/wisdom.html#5
I had 2 out under local a few years back. I was in agony for a few weeks after. You could play football but it would be painful. You could set the bleeding off too and it will have only just stopped. My advice would be no.
Had one out at the hospital local anaesthetic. although the tooth had beenfilled for several years and was dead. nice portugeese lady dentist, she said ok lets have a look, then she said ok thats fine,</p> I thought she was getting ready to pull it with large plies expecting one foot on my chest and big pain but she said again ok, its done..( H )Ididn't feel a thing. back to work next day no probs.</p> Like Crystal says though if you are having stitches I doubt you willfeel up to playing at the w/e. S) </p> </p>
cheers love just got back. feels alright actually. still numbed up but the tooth popped out straight away so hopefully will be okay. going to load up on painkillers and get a good nights sleep and see how I feel in the morning. cheers!
