Wiseman latest scapegoat. That was my main concern about all the back four today, not moving the ball quick enough. You just can't single Wiseman out. They were all intent on keeping the ball and being patient in the build up.
not at all i think Wiseman is a good player, reads the game very well but today he stood with the ball a bit and a totally agree with your last sentence
I Agree with Tyrone always seemed to need another touch as though he was constantly trying to tee the ball up,whether he just saw more of the ball than the others today I don't know but he was getting on my pip.
I've been very critical of Wiseman from the start, but I think he's been good last few games. Seems.centre half suits him. Another one, foster, I'm always looking for fault, but thought he played well today too. Shame kettle spoilt his goal, no way a foul. And another mention to daggers. Wtf does he have to do to score, really hope he nets one soon his performances certainly deserve it...
Thought wiseman had his worst performance of the season today. Was poor on the ball (too steady and too keen on going backwards or sideways) and was poor defensively as well, beaten quite a few times by his man, twice which gave them goal scoring opportunities. He was quite vocal as captain though and had a go at the ref a few times which is good to see.
That's because the mid field did not make themselves available during the first half, particularly Mellis. Very different in the second half.
Scotland was physically too strong for Wiseman.. Wiseman bounced off him a few times and couldn't knock him off the ball. However, I don't recall Scotland getting a sniff at goal as such.
Re: Scotland was physically too strong for Wiseman.. I think you are all blind... Wiseman was good today and his confidence looks to be improving too. He did nothing 'wrong' and he still gets stick!!! Well done chaps!!! You sure know how to talk a guy up!!
Re: Scotland was physically too strong for Wiseman.. Agree completely. Wiseman could have brought the ball out further from time to time, because he is comfortable on the ball and has the pace to take him there. But that is hardly criticism. I used to think Alan Hansen was a bit like that To say that was his worst performance is in my opinion errrrr.....at best harsh, on balance picky. at worst completely pathetically ridiculous There's 3 to choose from there
Re: Scotland was physically too strong for Wiseman.. Perhaps we should all agree with you and not have an opinion. I didn't give him stick with my post, i said it as I saw it. He could not knock Scotland off the ball and indeed bounced off him a couple of times. We didn't have too much defending to today especially second half, but if we continue to use the centre backs as the main route of bringing the ball out of defence, then they do need to move the ball quicker.
Re: Scotland was physically too strong for Wiseman.. So who could knock Scotland off the ball? Did you see the size of him?
I've been very harsh in my judgement of Wiseman but over the last few weeks I have become quite impressed with him as a centre half. I think he is doing a pretty good job.
i do think he is good player though and this was meant to be a constructive critisium it nice that looks to pick out the best pass etc
Re: Scotland was physically too strong for Wiseman.. Nothing wrong with opinion and if you say what you see then that is also your opinion.. Just strikes me that there is an undercurrent of anti-wiseman feeling at times and I think if so then it's misplaced. The guy is getting better!
Was that the same Mellis that was getting kicked all over the park first half he was lucky he could still walk after the first half. The number of challenges on him that were late was unbelievable. Even Kettle couldn't keep ignoring that, thats why Mellis was more involved with play.
Re: Was that the same Mellis that was getting kicked all over the park first half the clown kept telling mellis to calm down i actually said when he refs they should announce the clown has indicated 1 extra min of play
