If the last 4 games ( according to the last 4 form guide ) were to be repeated , the table would be

    1) Wigan +37 89 pts
    2) Bradford +12 81
    3) Walsall +17 80
    4) Burton +13 79
    5) Millwall +20 76
    6) Barnsley +13 73
    7) Rochdale +15 71
    8) Gillingham +15 70

    That would do me !!
Sadly though I have no confidence in form guide predictions.

It would disappoint me if Bradford were to nick a top 2 spot considering where they were 6 or so games ago.

Trust me, Bradford will NOT finish in the top two.

I believe Burton have blown it and Walsall will finish 2nd to Wigan, Burton 3rd, Bradford 4th leaving the last 2 spots between us, Millwall, Gills and Dale.

    I would like us to finish 6th and play Burton in the semi finals because;

they'll be gutted on missing out on automatic after leading the league for so long,
it's a short distance for the away leg
AND who wants to go to Millwall????

I don't mistrust your form table by any means mate, but based on last four games wouldn't dem blunts be featuring above 8th? Saddens me to say this but if results conspire, they could be above both us and 'Dale come 6 o'clock Saturday night.

Their last 4 games are W2 D1 L1 - exactly the same as us.
If they repeated that over the next 4 they'd finish on 69 points. Don't forget we have a 4 point lead on them.

So would that mean a possible meeting with Millwall in the final?

It's an omen. We 'could' have played them in the JPT final. ;)

Or another omen - we played Oxford (Who play in black & yellow) in the JPT Final and Burton also play in black and yellow. :)

Speaking of omens, not that I believe in them or anything, but when we got promoted 10 years ago, after 42 games we had 66 points, just as we do now. We went unbeaten from then until the end of the season drawing 3 and winning 1. 70 points was enough to finish 6th back then. I think it will be a little higher this time but then with the rate teams in the top 6 are dropping points it could be a similar target. Take Saturday - Wigan - Lost, Burton - Drew, Millwall - Lost, Bradford - Drew, Gills - Lost. Only Walsall won. I think anything less than 6 points and we have no chance. But I do think we could sneak in with a couple of wins. Be great to have it sewn up by Wigan obviously, and have a joint party so to speak but nothing short of 3 straight wins between now and then would give us that opportunity.
