...either for old fans coming back to remind them of the chants of their youth or maybe they can re-energise the old classics? Or maybe new fans have some new ideas for some good witty chants and songs to add to the collection? Now I'm not talking about the usual chants "THE-BARNSLEY" or "COME ON YOOO REDS" but the ones that are a little humorous and something to get going at Wembley. Here's one to start you all off... She wore, she wore, she wore red suspenders, She wore red suspenders in the merry month of May, And when, I asked her why she wore suspenders, She said it's for the Barnsley and we're going to Wemberley, Wemberley, Wemberley, we're the famous Barnsley FC and we're going to Wemberley, Wemberley, Wemberley, we're the famous Barnsley FC and we're going to Wemberley. ...the older fans will even be able to say they sung the Yorkshire Ripper version! Either reply to this thread to get the song book going or add it to the My Match Memories forum... http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=72288&mid=453349#M453349
Not one for Wembley I know but.... "She wore her red suspenders" made me think It always made me laugh singing the theme from Laurel and Hardy when the coppers used to march in , in the bad old days when we we're in the old 4th division and proper s**t.
Song for the new "fans" ...... WHERE WERE YOU WHEN WE WERE **** ?
WHERE WERE YOU WHEN WE WERE **** ?

Don't think you're quite grasping the concept... ...I'm going for the greater good argument. More fans, more singing, better atmosphere more noise getting behind the reds.
