With it been 25 years since the Miners strikes

will Barnsley ever forget its history from 25 years ago?

i know as of today it is still in most of the locals hearts, it is even in my heart and i wasnt even born.

Will you ever forgive the scabs?

City Ground earlier this season as fun enough. I can imagine Oakwell being even worse.

and to be honest 99.9% of people sympaphise with the miners of old ................but then shake their heads indisbelief at the long term attitude
people need to learn but move on

Just been offered operations manager role at the world's largest off shore wind farm ..........Gt Gabbard .......move on .but learn from the past.

Not forgiving those who did scab is one thing.

Tarring everyone with the same brush just because they happen to come from the same area is a different matter.

I used to knock about with some lads who never went back, from langold, they lost everything, but get called scabs when ever they come up to play us..

maybe unreasonable to some but to those who had colleagues beat up. inprisoned by the police state at that time ,please dont patronise and tell us to move on, obviously peoples passions will differ regards how they viewed the tatics of thay goverment at that time .I cant forget the way we were beat in to submision and am proud that i was one of the last to stand up and challenge ,as forgiving ,maybe one day but not yet
