We could well do with Charlton losing the other 2 games they have in hand, sadly I can see them beating Leeds tomorrow.
Our game in hand is away against Charlton so its a really important one but yes if we win it it puts us just 2 points behind Birmingham but really its more important we win the next game - Brighton are bang out of form and have lost their last 3 games so its just the sort of game we go on and lose. I wouldn't be shocked if we lost to Brighton then go and beat Burnley - win them both and we will probably have dragged Birmingham and Blackpool into range - much rather Birmingham went down than Charlton. We havent had back to back home wins all season either so now would be a great time to start
Personally, I'm not looking beyond Saturday's game with Brighton. Injuries, lack of self belief, suspensions, sudden loss of form, fear, over confidence, the 'Benidorm Factor' can all make major contributions to results at this part of the season. Trying to predict scorelines can be addictive, but also drive you mad!
Burnley's injury list is getting worse by the day we may be just taking them on at a good time. Back to back home wins would not 'Arf boost the confidence of everyone. But I will be grateful to just not lose against Brighton and Burnley and then give Leeds a caning and win our spare game against Charlton. That run would see us almost over the line I reckon. Especially if Brum and Blackpool continue their form.
Re: Burnley's injury list is getting worse by the day We need to beat Brighton, Leeds & Boro & find 2 draws from somewhere. A very tough ask, but if we play like we have last 2 games it may be doable. Hoping 46 will be enough, as I think that is the max we can achieve.
