With the brewery being demolished

    The club should splash out and buy some of the land. Would provide the perfect entry/exit route for the new carpark and take traffic away from the bottom of oakwell lane and right down pontefract road to where the lightspot is. Would also give them a lot of land to build houses on and make a nice profit.

    Would it make more sense to buy back from the council, what they own of Oakwell?

    I'm not sure. I'm a lot more comfortable with the council owning 50% than I am with Patrick Cryne owning 50% to be honest. If 50% was to go back into the clubs ownership it should be his half

    The Council having 50%, effectively puts the club's assests into a Trust state, which protects them.

    the council are proposing a building spree shortly and rightly so but hope oakwell and the bfc assets are nt on the list

    We seemingly can't afford to turn on the Ponte car park floodlights so thousands of fans didn't have to try and avoid hundreds of cars in the dark.
