And three weeks to our next "winnable" home game, the time is right for a change. We've won two in fifteen and there is precious little evidence that this will change despite all the straw clutching on here.

I heard a rumour that Flitcroft had until the international break to turn things around. He hasn't done that. Lets not keep putting off the inevitable - we need to give the new manager every opportunity to keep us up and that means beating Birmingham and Yeovil.

Personally i agree with you, many wont but theres also plenty that will. Walking back into town yesterday reminded me very much of hills last game in charge, with a lot of fans all turning on flitcroft despite previously being staunch believers in him, much like it was with hill.
While i don't agree with changing manager's every season it would also be wrong to simply stick with a man who appears to have run out of idea's. Who knows the international break might be just what flitcroft and the team need's but having said that if he hasn't got his message across to the players by know its seems unlikely that he will at all.

Should we put the new chap on a 15 game rolling contract?

Do we then reset the counter, for how many games the next man has?

I think after yesterday he'd have lost the support of a few more fans. As you say it's two wins in 15 now. The tough start we had was the excuse but since playing the so called easier games we've only beat Middlesborough and not won either of our South Yorkshire derbies. Gally will need a new server for the BBS if we don't win any of our next two/three matches.

Stability is the only way forward, short termism of the highest order has been the issue for years. Flitcroft is the man for the job.

It's either change now or if we don't get a win in the next two games that will force a change, personally I would do it now to give time for a new manager to bed in. While I do like Flicker there are no signs of things getting better and relegation is unthinkable.

So you'd keep him even if it means losing 4 million pounds from our budget through relegation?

I'll be the one supporting the team at Millwall though while you'll be on here telling people to grow some balls.

Making the wrong appointment has been the issue.

I fall into the category don't change your manager every five minutes bracket usually. But our team shows little sign of developing or improving. Tactically we are inept and naive who really thinks we need to play 2 defensive midfielders at home to Donny. Substitutions predictable to the point of being laughable. Our only real game changing sub Tompole given a token 4 minutes. Football is one dimensional. Manager seems to have alienated both long serving players and talented younger players like RNL, Digby and Mellis to the point where loss of confidence has meant a collapse in form. A club like ours will only survive at this level by promoting and developing young players. We don't have the financial muscle to buy anything other than other peoples cast offs. Therefore we need a manager with a real interest and desire in doing this at present Flitcroft shows no signs of being this sort of manager. I like David he's a good man to have around but results and performances have been poor to the point of being embarrassing. I would like someone to approach him with the possibility of taking a side wards step for a while with a more experienced manager with a talent for developing younger players brought in. If I rejected this approach I'd think it would be time to replace him.

Sleepwalking to relegation should be on the new crest at this rate.

On a side note looking forward to the Millwall game. Great atmosphere and a club that remind me in some ways of ours.

Millwall is a cracking day out - don't think we will be drinking near the ground though.
