would they,be good enough for the old div2 IE championship i myself cant ,Blame anyone ,as i dont get to the games but the results speak for them selves But how many teams are better,i dont think any of the promoted 4 would be good enough they will struggle the gap is widening ok thanks for reading
Nah, we ain't good enough - yet. Still done a damned sight better than last season, although some silly buggers will be calling for Rich T if we dunt mek t' playoffs.
RE: very strange League One this year To say that we have won once since February and are still in a play-off place. Truth is there have been no outstanding teams in this league (Southend are most robust and organised, plus the flair of Eastwood), but a lot of teams which play similar style at a similar standard. Given our run since February, we can only think positively about still being in with a shout of the play-offs. For the record - I wouldn't want to be Swansea going to Chesterfield - hard nut to crack, who draw a lot of home games, but don't lose many - and I wouldn't want to be Forest going to Bradford City, who have amongst the best recent home records. As for us at Walsall - it sounds easy, but we lost in the cup there. We ought to do it. I think their win at Gillingham would have been just a typical end of season game with nothing to play for. Don't read a massive revival into that result. I've got us down for a 2-0 win; Chesterfield - Swansea 1-1, same as Bradford City - Forest. Bring on Huddersfield (preferably without Taylor-Fletcher following his sending off next week at Swindon!)
I like your thinking But then again I didn't think Swansea would get anything out of their trip to Southend today.
I think with clever signings, we'd cope alright, a bit like Wednesday this season. But how many fans will be on the back of Ritchie etc if we are down near the bottom?
Our fans would want instant success, and i don't think that'll happen. I think if we do go up, it'll be a long struggle next season to try and reach safety.
