It'd definitely make Glasgow a friendlier place!

Sad, but true.

Religion can be a tremendous comforter, a crutch when you need it, something to have faith in. It can bind people together.

On the other hand, used as a weapon, or as a tool to force people into a way of life they do not wish to follow, or as a reason to eliminate non-believers, then it's something mankind does not need.

Unleashed, uncontrolled and allowed to run riot, it it more dangerous than the ravages of fire, water, plague, and everything else put together.

And now i'm off for a lie down, cos I have no idea where that outburst came from.

replace the first item in the list with 'family'

Now what do we have?

If you dont have family then friends.

If you dont have either then your on your own and obviously dont need either!

Wrong.

If you don't have P, you have A.
If you don't have A, you have M.
If you don't have PAM, you have PALM.

You need to take a long hard look at yourself.
In a mirror that's propped up on the floor.

People would just find something else to argue about and different factions to join.

RE: I dont think Buddism is a problem....................................

As dawn is about to break on December 19, 2004, a group of people enter a church in Katuwana, a small town in western Sri Lanka-but they do not come to worship, they come to destroy. St. Michael the Archangel's Catholic Church is now in ruins, with relics and holy objects smashed, the Tabernacle destroyed, and the church burned to an empty shell. The church had been threatened by militant Buddhists for holding Christian services over the last 13 months, culminating with this, the third and most violent attack with no arrests, as reported by the BBC News. If recent history is any guide, mobs similar to the one that torched St. Michael's will visit other churches in much the same way-instead offering peace and goodwill, they will bring machetes and firebombs. A party of powerful, extremist Buddhist monks are holding religious liberty hostage in Sri Lanka. Through politics, media, "fasts unto death," and violence, Buddhist extremists are pressuring the government to pass laws that would ban religious conversions and culminate in making Buddhism the official state religion.

RE

probably wins the most "pointless and boringist subject ever" award.
Think i leart how Muslims should wear baseball caps instead of those silly white things.
However i did actually learn something constructive and that was religious hatred can occur, in other words Christains can act in a violent way towards Muslims because they bum the Quran, not the Bible.
