...... 6 points clear and +11 goal difference better than Birmingham (I think) - Birmingham aren't going to win their last two games by that many goals so in effect Wolves don't have anything to play for on Saturday 2-0 to us then, panic over!
Pretty much. I just hope McCarthy rests half the team and gives some young 'uns a go now. That's the best chance we've got.

+10 isnt it? If birmingham beat preston 3-0 on saturday which is an entirely possible scoreling and we beat wolves by 2 goals (stranger things have happened) then its only +5 with one game left. Another loss for wolves and win for birmingham on the final day could see the title go to the brummies
too many ifs for me, if, ifs and ands, were pots and pans, mick mcCarthy would have a lot of washing up to do!
Birmingham have scored 51 goals in 44 games .... ...... Wolves are the Champions, anybody who wants to bet on Birmingham, I'll take the bets!
absolutely 4 matches have to go in Birmingham's favour and by certain scorelines, each of which are possible over 90 mins but will never happen over 4 separate games.
Brum will be happy just to go up, they're not even sure of that yet!

I fancy your chances of making some money on that one Albatross but I also think that Wolves will want to make absolutely certain against us.
Stranger things have happened, West Brom survived in the premier league a few year back when they were certain of relegation. West Ham (or as Sheff utd say, Carlos Tevez), beat Manure on the last game of the season to stay up. Odejayi scored against Chelsea ffs lol, nothings certain in this game until it is certain.
Whether we get anything against Wolves is in the lap of the gods. It really depends which Wolves turns up rather than which Barnsley turns up. They will be on a crest of a wave and the euphoria and lack of pressure could make them play with the freedom to express themselves, in which case there's a good chance we will get stuffed. Alternatively that euphoria and lack of pressure could mean that they aren't concentrating fully on the task in hand. From our point of view, we put so much into the Coventry game for relatively little reward. We will need to dig just as deep on Saturday and I'm not sure they have the character to do it in consecutive games. The ridiculous scheduling may well give Norwich a 48 hour boost that a win against Reading will take them out of the bottom three. With their goal difference being superior we could easily be 2 points short of safety going into the final game. I've never been as pessimistic as I am now.
