£1.4m apparently, figure seems to drop everyday. Stoke and Hull also interested.

Wonder if he'll last longer than Michael "improving my national team chances" McIndoe? Can't see it myself. but then...

Personally I think he had an excellent season for us. I'd like him to stay, but if he must go I'll wish him well. If he gets a crack at the Premier League with anyone - good luck to him, he's earned it, and rather than 'laugh' at the fall price, I'd rather we got top money and made the full £4 million. Thats not what he said though is it?

I have no doubts that they would have been in the top 3 or 4 but he said the player of the year award is a good indication and they were not in it, therefore he was wrong.

    (my spelling is getting worse)

Totally agree with you mate ... great player!

Went missing around his 9th booking but fantastic player who we will find very difficult to replace. Ok taking the money but I'd rather have Howard to be honest

He is a player that we will miss a hell of a lot more than some think!

The money that Barnsley will accept is not going to get us a player of the same ability, I dont think that Da Silva is better, but I do think they complimented each other, different types of player each did what they were best at and they made a great partnership.

We've never been able to replace good players

Hignett , Redfearn , Shipperly, Hirst etc Unfortuantly we'll always be a selling club who finds it difficult to hang on to our better players
