Jodie Taylor the England striker, came to coach my girls team last year, when she was playing for Washington Spirit.Shes been injured which is why shes on the bench. She was excellent with the girls. COME ON ENGERLUND AND JODIE TO SCORE THEWINNER
It's bloody rubbish, I've yet to see any of these players rolling around faking injury, harassing the ref by surrounding her, whinging at every given opportunity, falling over for no apparent reason, they need to learn how to play the game properly
An impressive come-back by the Lionesses. They pressurised Norway into errors and put together some neat passing second half. At the hour mark, I wasn't giving us a hope, but, fair play, they upped the game, got hold of the ball and took the game to Norway. Deserved winners in the end, although I could not see that at all for the first hour. Jill Scott looks as though she has the ball tied to her boot laces at times - helped turn the game. Cracking goal by the full-back to win it. Whilst it is more genteel and less muscular than the men's game, I enjoy watching the passing and movement of the better teams. With some of the poorer teams, they can hardly string two passes together, but there have been fewer games like that from the ones I have seen. I don't think Canada are that strong - all effort and not much organisation and skill - so, if we can play as we did for the last half hour in Vancouver, there is a fair chance of a semi-final place. Good stuff!!
