Wonder how close Hume is? Anyone see him training lately?

Do you think Simon could be desperate enough to fetch him back early if humey says hes ready?

I wouldnt want to see him fetched back too early from that injury!

I had a feeling he would play some part in the last couple of games after his comments to someone down at training.

    Said in the Chronicle

week afore last that the club had confirmed he definately wouldnt play again this season. Admittedly, that was before we drew 2 and lost 2.

    RE: Said in the Chronicle

If it is true, as Davey said after the game at Bramall Lane, that Iain Hume is pursuing the matter through his own lawyers, I wonder what would happen if the lawyers find in Hume's favour and we get relegated.

If his personal compensation claim is upheld, this would then pave the way for the club to make a claim as well. I think that the club would be unlikely to be successful, even if Hume's case were upheld, because we did use the loan market to bring in replacement players and a court of law would probably consider the acquisition of two Maltese internationals to be the equivalent of one Canadian!!!

It would just be good for everyone if we were to stay up and Humey is fit to play a full season in 2009-10, netting 23 goals!

According to Hume he kicked the game off and was on the pitch for 10 seconds!

Littlemoscowred's version of events is the one that the Chronicle went with. He kicked off, and that was it.

    I think.

According to NOTW a couple of weeks ago, he's had some trouble heading the ball and has been told to forget about this season.

It was in the paper sunday before last, 5th April I think, but i don't know where they got it from. I think I saw someone on here mention that he was heading the ball in training so I thought it a bit odd. There was nothing quoted as being from the club either.

It was Thuirsday 26th March I saw him training, I went to get my daughters shirt signed by the players and Iain was the last one off the training pitch, I had been watching a good 45 minutes whilst he was playing along with all the other players. His last 15 minutes training included heading in crosses into the nets and running pulling weights behind him.
