Jason Scotland goals have had a direct hand in 12 pts since he arrived (6 entirely down to his goals).

Can you imagine the stick the Don et al would be getting on here if it was the other way around.

Who says Mick never does his hometown any favours.

Went browsing on some of there forums and the word on the street is there not worried they think there as good as safe. He scored more goals then all 3 of the strikers they brought in

Hopefully there's a no return clause too, and hope he continues bagging.

Not fit enough for 90 mins yet, but still a great player.

    Played well Tuesday night.

Its a funny old situation. I myself didnt want to see him go and I know a lot of the Season Ticket holders around me at Portman Road were a little uneasy at the decision too. He's a good old fashioned centre forward and rarely had a bad game for us, he was our Mr Reliable. More often than not when he had a poke at goal he scored, he just got less and less games though. I dont know whether it was that he wasn't getting enough games to suit him or whether the influx of younger loanees highlighted a fitness problem, we can only speculate. We've had a huge amount of players come and go recently and now have 6 registered first team strikers on our books (Chopra, McGoldrick, Murphy, McClean, Taylor, Jay Emmanuel Thomas and Nouble). Its a pretty ridiculous situation to be in given we can only play a couple at a time and it just smacks of us desperately throwing every possible solution to a long term problem and hoping it remedies in the short. I know the board at ITFC want to slim down the wages so maybe it was just that they looked at the strikers and someone had to be cut loose.

Either way he's one of the players i'd have liked to see us keep, at least to the end of the season as he does pitch in with goals and holds the ball up brilliantly. To sell him on to a fellow rival in the relegation dogfight seems completely mad, but then again (as said above) there is a Barnsley connection through big Mick. Either way, its not gone unnoticed that he's scoring for you now, I saw a pretty hilarious twitter war amongst blues and reds the other night after he scored your winner.

As for fans on our end thinking we're safe, I'd like some of what they're drinking. We're as goal shy as a team can get at the minute. Squeaky bum time.

He's now our joint top league scorer on 5 with Dagnall and Cywka isn't he?

We havead Nouble on loan and a striker he ain't. Not even a footballer. Can't believe your club made the decision to chop Scotland and keep Nouble. Thankyou Mick.

You didn't sell him on, you released him and then we picked him up as a free agent.
