No mention of our magnificent result on the 7.50 sports summary on Toby Foster this a.m.

There won't be. But if we'd been bottom and struggling you can bet there would've been.

Still think it's a poor situation for fans and no side particularly comes out well imho. But while ever we're winning, it gives us the upper hand.

    RE: "Final offer

Still woudl like the situation to be sorted one way or another. Sheffield has historically offered the best service and quite frankly Dearne FM is is little better than laughable

seems to be getting more popular, not heard many complaints.

I dont think the radio coverage is of paramount importance. Those that geographically find it impossible to make it to games can subscribe to the internet service, those that cant be arsed and would rather listen to the odd snippet from Blades/Fowls FM can always watch SKY Sports, most Champ games have a reporter present from SKY.

Priority should be getting more people inside the ground than accommodating them that dont bother.

    I'd agree

that getting more folk into Okawell is more important.

How to do it and if we'll do it is a completley seperate debate of course.

Only option I can see is discounted tickets and two for one offers etc.

    That and a winning team...

    Might be worth

an email to the Director of Outside Broadcasting at the BBC to establish on what grounds the local radio station decided to cut their cloth. Hmmm......might just do that.

    Trouble causer

I would imagine most local Radio stations of the BBC have their own budgets and allocate them as they see fit.

Value judgement. Can't see it, but I'd chortle a bit if we ended up top 6 come May and Paul Walker was banned from Oakwell. If only he'd been nicer about Marc Richards....

    RE: Trouble causer

What did he say about "Rico"?

That was not said in the stands?

    Well.......

Many moons back when we'd just signed Richards (at the time think he was a free agent after Northampton released him ) - Paul Walker was talking to a Barnsley fan about our prospects, the fan wasn't overly hopeful which was understandable at the time, and Walker replied in an excellent sarcastic tone "You'll be alright when Marc Richards fires you back to The Premiership"

Would he have been that much of a **** about any other SY club ? I doubt it. Whatever your opinion of Richards or any other player, to have the host of the regions 'most listened to' sports programme take the piss like that is out of order. Since then I have bore a grudge.

    Understandable

Don't think they would comment like that on any other local side

Considering they are never anything other than condescending and negative I think we've probably benefited from reduced coverage this season. We don't have to listen all the negativity from them for a change!
