wonder when they will announce the postponement of theretain list

to a later date.... we all know its bound to happen.

 

It's looking that way now, I'll go for 3:30, saying it'll be out later in the week.

They`ve postponed the announcement of the postponement.

 

Maybe we aren't retaining anyone? Isn't the purpose of the list just to let people know which out of contract players are going to be offered new deals?

 

Only reference anyone from the club has made to when the retained list will be released was Danny Wilson in his interview with Radio Sheffield before the QPR game. He says "next week" ie this week "middle of the week, next week." 5'50 onwards if you really want to hear it:

I guess Thursday is the middle of the week if you want to be really pernickety, but I would imagine he meant any time from Tuesday onwards, after the board meeting and when they've discussed the situation wit the players. No point coming out and saying we're going to offer such and such a player a contract if that player has no intention of staying. They'll release the names when everything is sorted.

 

Exclusive for the Chronicle maybe.

 

The club and The Chronicle don't particularly get on. Maybe that's a bit strong, but they certainly don't do The Chronicle any favours and give them exclusives. Exclusives are always released on the web-site or via interviews on local radio.

 

I'm not surprised at that the way O'Kane portrays us.
