Is this where the next leap in our understanding of creation will be made - or is it where things are going to go pear shaped. I am sure whoever flips the switch is going to have a few nerves! lol Whatever happens it is pretty impressive.

Its all about the particle accelerator at CERN. Some people think they will make tiny black holes, reveal extra dimensions/or reveal the Higgs Boson and even time travel! Who knows. Are the messing with things they shouldnt be here?

You'll think so when it opens up a wormhole and some aliens or dinosaurs come through it and take over the world.</p>

Mind, if it opens a shortcut to the South of France we can all pop through and visit Hong Kong Phooey in his <strike>council flat</strike> holiday home.

    me too

so went and investigated. Looking forward to what it throws up but also thinking about what it could also mean based on the model of creation. According to that something big is going down between Non 07 and Oct 08. This thing is right on time (pardon the pun) to do that... Could just be coincidence like. :)

I'm not sure exactly how exploring the limits of physical possibility is a waste of money

    RE: Wormholes? Time Travel? Pah!

I decided to test whether time travel exists by declaring several years ago that if it was ever possible, I would return to that point and let myself know. As long as I remember that date, I know I won't be readily able to time travel.

    because

in theory you can only go back as far as when the time machine was invented.

So once it is invented then it should be possible.

Maybe 21 December 2012 - the end of time - is the date this will happen. What good is a calendar if you can jump about whenever and wherever you want. Whatever - the next 4.5 years are going to be interesting.

    RE: because

Given the invention of a 'time machine' then the concept of time stops, as everything is fluid in all directions, so there can be no end of time.

Seiko and Timex are gonna be pissed off. Switzerlands economy will crumble, apart from chocolatiers and banks hoarding Nazi gold stolen from Europes Jewish population.

Do the burghers of Switzerland have an equivalent of a fatwah?

Ah, kind of like the film Primer. I saw that and enjoyed trying to piece together all the timelines and exactly what was going on, but failed miserably
