Word of warning

Prior to the game yesterday, at about quarter to 3, outside the club shop, a lad maybe in his late teens, early 20s demanded money from my 60 year old mother.

She was waiting outside the club shop for my dad to meet her on his way from work, and a lad came up to her demanding she gave him £10. She told him she didn't have it but he insisted she needed to give him the money so he could get inside. My mum could see me in the distance talking to my mate, and tried walking away from him. He kept following her and only left her alone when she began to shout to me.

She was clearly shaken up. So just a word of warning to anyone who goes to the game with anyone who may be considered vulnerable, there's some utter scumbags out there.

Have you notified the club and police?, as was earlier said if there's cctv this scumbag can be found.

 

Unfortunately no visible crime was committed. And no independent witnesses.

It could be argued he was only asking the time. Unfortunately :frown:

But it might of course put the scum bag off doing it again.

Unfortunately I was on my way into the ground and only found out once I was inside what had gone off; I'm a mild mannered chap, couldn't fight my way out of a paper bag, but it really gets on my goat when people prey on people more vulnerable. I'd have definitely had words.

Unfortunately as Ian says, I suppose there's no crime committed so little would come of it you'd think.

Just thought it best to put it out there because I know loads who go to games with their friends, parents and grandparents that could be considered an easy target.

report this to the Police and the club....cctv?

maybr there is CCTV outside the ground too, if its been picked up then maybe the Police can locate the footage and hopefully identify and charge this person.
