DEFENDER GLAD TO BE BACK Lewin Nyatanga says he will play anywhere on the pitch for Derby and claims he is a better player due to his loan spell at Barnsley. The Welsh international has been away at Oakwell on loan for most of the season and their boss Simon Davey was very keen to keep him. An injury crisis at Pride Park has led to him being recalled and, despite his recent stint at Oakwell, he says he is pleased to be back. "We've had a few injury problems, some unfortunate ones as well. And yes, the squad is looking quite short at the moment but I'll play anywhere. Wherever the manager puts me, I'll do the best job I can do," Nyatanga told this is Derbyshire. "But we can't use it as an excuse because other teams suffer injuries and have to adapt. "Derby are my local team, I've been here since I was young, living here, all my friends are here so it's good to be back. "You learn with every game and, at Barnsley, I've had the privilege to play in a lot of games. I've learned a lot and I'm still learning. "The Championship is not an easy league. You get better and stronger as a player, both mentally and physically. "I've just got to keep working hard. I know there's a long way to go but if I keep working hard, I'll be able to play in the Premier League in the future."
