Hope all the outsiders win the groups just to **** FIFA off.

    Match/Tournament fixing at its best.

Opening game with Italy in a sauna apparently at 2 in the morning. Also in with Louis Suarez and Costa Rica who have dinosaurs.

Wish Jonathan Pierce would STFU, I'm trying to watch this.

France seem to have a easy group.
    Who'd have thought that eh!

My missus has a friend round and they commented on how complicated the draw was, so I said it was done this way to ensure France get an easy group. Should have kept my gob shut!

At least the FA now know when they can book their return flights for. Not an impossible task, but f*cking close to it!

Ah well your World Cup dream has just turned into a nightmare.

Very hard section. It will take some performance to get out of that one.

To be fair Ian if it had been us instead of France in their group I reckon we would have still struggled lol

There aren't as many rubbish teams in it any more, as the African and Asian teams have caught up so much, so we were always likely to have at least two tough games (bearing in mind that England are not very good anyway). At least we're now looking at how tough the Uruguay game is because of the talent they have, rather than fearing for the safety of our players' kneecaps against their psycho defenders, as it was for you guys in 1986.

In fact, thinking about it, if we only had Peru, rather than Italy, there'd be a certain theme to our opponents!

Ah Bossman, the voice of reason. Glad you said that and not me as I might have been crucified for stating the truth.

ATM Your international team are no more than average. Recent performances bear that out.

I got more that a bit p1ssed off listening to that clown Pearce when your section was confirmed. He gave every excuse possible why you won't qualify.
Italy first, jungle, humidity, long distances to travel FFS Pearce all these things apply to the other 3 teams as well. What a pr1ck.

That's the problem mate, we're not as good as we think we are.

That's part of the problem. The other part is that players think they're worldbeaters because they get paid £100k per week, don't have to pay for anything, have everything done for them and get told how brilliant they are every 5 minutes by Sky TV and the UK media. The hard truth is that when they get on to the world stage players like Rooney and Gerrard start to look mediocre at best. I think the only one of the moneybags big name players who actually lived up to his hype at recent tournaments was Ashley Cole, and it pains me to pay that horrid man a compliment.

Whenever we have an international tournament now I support England because, well, that's what I've always done, whilst simultaneously hating most of the players and not actually wanting them to win the thing, because they don't deserve to be held in the same esteem as Moore, Charlton, Hurst, et al.
