Anyone applied for World Cup tickets? What games have you applied for? I think the deadline for applications is this Sunday if you've not applied already. We have gone for South Korea v Togo - think we might be in with a chance!
Gone for Australia v Japan can't really see us getting anything though. But nothing lost giving it a go!
We've applied for about 7 matches, most in Australia's group based in the South. Think we've also gone for South Korea v Togo. Think the random ticket draw is some time in Feb.
Gone for all England games and the final x2. </p> More chance of Ronaldinho signing for Barnsley than getting a ticket tho. Gotta be in it to win it I suppose. I think we find out first week of Feb.</p>
Asbo-lutely Tooled up, coloured up and looking bloody mean.</p> Actually we're going accompanied avec 2 females so we should be OK!</p> No directors box this year mind, shame, the food was alright!</p>
Here you go.... http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/tickets/taf.html</p> You'll need the passport number for each person applying for tickets.</p>
Applied for seven group games around the country in the first fortnight plus all Englands games through the Englandfans travel club.
Am I right in thinking you can apply for a ticket that 'follows' a particular club. So, you can apply for a ticket that follows England. You see all their group matches and the knockout stages, should they get that far, right through to the final. If they get knocked out you follow the club that beats them. Obviously, such tickets will be highly sought after. However, tickets of that nature following Trinadad won't be. But, as is likely, if Trinadad are knocked out in the group stage you follow the winners of that group which could well be England. Or is that ballacks?
That isn't ballax. It's total, complete ballax. The 'follow England' tickets are for as long as they are in the competition ... if they are knocked out - you come home. I've bought some - so there. Not for me, by the way.
RE: That isn't ballax. Ponty is right. But they're the ones through FIFA's own website - you have more chance if you've been an Englandfans member through the campaign and have travelled to games in the qualifying capmpaign in a proper fan stylee - like me, for instance...
Aye. He's simply trying to get to as many events as he can before his sphincter falls out. I will get 2 'Follow England' tickets. I then have to give them away. Gutted on a stick.
sfunny you bring up the subject... I just been informed.... I'll copy it here, but you wouldn't want to wade through it.... Dear Mike, Thank you for applying through FFA Travel for tickets and/or optional travel packages to the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany. You are receiving this email because unfortunately you were unsuccessful in obtaining tickets. As you may be aware, demand far exceeded supply for the limited tickets available and approximately 6% of applications were successful. By way of reference, we can advise that: - FFA Travel ultimately received 25,296 applications. - The first 1,384 of those applications were successful with the majority of people applying for 3 match packages to Australia's 1st Round matches. >From those successful applications, the following shows the percentage of people in the various Package Codes: Package A: 11.2% (Escorted tour) Package B: 12.3% (Unescorted tour) Package C: 25.4% (Hostel and camping) Package D: 51.1% (Ticket only) Please note that FFA Travel has not charged your credit card. If you paid by cheque or money order, you should receive these by return mail shortly. We did receive a number of complaints from people querying how they could miss out on tickets when they sent in an application close to 9am. The answer is that all application forms were processed in the order they were received by the FFA Travel system. This means that the time sent from your system was not determinative. With the overwhelming demand for the limited number of FIFA World Cup tickets available, almost every person attempted to send in the application form exactly on 9am. Due to the very nature of the internet there are multiple variables that determine delivery speed, which all affect the time received by FFA Travel's system. These vary from email client software used, connection speed to the internet, whether anti-virus software is used, which mail server was used for sending, and the number of network devices between the sender's mail server and FFA Travel's mail server. All of the applications came into a single email mail box, including all emails and all faxes. Essentially, the system created a chronological queue based on the time of receipt of the application. From this point, FFA Travel processed each application in the order received. While we appreciate you may be disappointed, FFA Travel wanted to let you know about some additional options that remain available. 1. Information relating to the application for purchase of tickets through the 2006 FIFA World Cup Ticketing Centre is available here: http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/tickets/index.html. For your ease of reference, a summary is provided below. There remain 3 public sales phases. The 3rd sales phase began on the 12 December 2005 and ends on 15 January 2006 Tickets will be distributed after a ballot. For more information on the application process, please go to http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/tickets/taf.html The 4th sales phase will start on 15 February 2006 and end on 15 April 2006. Ticket applications submitted during this stage will be processed in the order of receipt (according to the “first come, first served“ principle). The 5th sales phase (last minute phase) will start on 1 May 2006 and end by 9 July 2006. Ticket applications will also be processed in the order of receipt. Ticket allocation will end when all tickets set aside for the fifth sales phase have been allocated, or by 9th of July latest. During this phase tickets will be allocated via the internet as well as via selected advance booking centres at the venues. 2. There are a limited number of corporate hospitality packages available through iSe-Hospitality AG as the exclusive partner of FIFA for the official hospitality program. There remain team specific corporate hospitality packages available for Australia’s 1st round matches as well as 2nd round matches should Australia progress. For more detailed information relating to prices and purchase terms & conditions, please express your interest through hospitality@footballaustralia.com.au 3. There is a chance FIFA may provide a limited amount of additional tickets to FFA for Australia’s group matches before the end of March 2006. If so, FFA will make these packages available to unsuccessful applicants (rather than the general public) based on the order we received applications. At this stage we cannot provide anymore information on the availability or process of these extra ticket opportunities. However we have now loaded all applicants into the FFA Travel website & we ask you to update your profile with your contact details as they change so we can keep in touch with you. You can access your member profile page by clicking here: http://www.ffatravel.com.au/lost_password.php & requesting the password be sent to the email address you applied with. An email with your password will be sent to you & you will then be able to log into FFA Travel & access your member profile page. 4. Due to demand, FFA Travel has prepared a number of Accommodation Only Packages without tickets to Germany. For more information on these packages go to www.ffatravel.com.au We trust this information is of assistance. Best Wishes, The team at FFA Travel.
