This is starting to get like the reds when we were bottom last christmas. We were supposedly the worst Barnsley team in history. Clearly we weren't. England aren't brilliant. When presented with teams who were well organised and sat deep we were unable to break them down, we had no one with the real top class speed of thought or bit of magic to break through. But we're not the worst team in history either, not even England's worst team. We beat Wales who are being lauded to the skies and the team who won the tournament couldn't beat Iceland either. We have to accept that we're decent but not great and I don't see much change in that situation regardless of who plays or who manages in the near future.
We couldn't break them down because our buildup play was too S L O W.We pushed their players back so slowly that they had 10 back before we crossed the half way line. I don't advocate route 1 but a balance.

agree with that. I don't watch much Premiership football. Hate it. So I don't know if a fit Wilshire can unlock a defence packed tight like that. I'm damn sure Jordan Henderson can't!
