Once players are being played out of position and strange selections are made the outcome isn’t usually favourable.

Hopefully Hecky learns from tonight and it doesn’t happen again. Potts on the wing Saturday would be horrific.

Probably too many considering the managers we’ve been through

    Hecky I thought was different.

But setting up not to lose and trying for a point is not what I've grown to love about him.

I'm in no way blaming him but tonight and the last couple of games he hasn't covered himself in glory.

What should he have done that would have made a difference?

The obvious issue for me was playing so many non-regulars against Cardiff, but we were unlucky to lose that night.

What was wrong with team selection tonight and against Leeds?

Well Hecky would go for Townsend but id say Walton. Mcdonald got hauled at ht and Pearson would have been the obvious choice. Mcgeehan for the hopeless gardner. Hedges for Potts, baffling. Anyone from the crowd for Ugbo.

I think the decisions Hecky has been making look like a manager who has lost confidence in his players.

    Personally

    I wouldn't have dropped McCarthy.

He keeps his right spot. Yiadom moves to left back. I would also not put goose in the side. Centre backs of Lynsey and Pearson.

Midfield. Well. No ******* idea what to do with this. Apart from letting hedges have one wing and hammill or Barnes have the other. 2 out of 3 in any way with having half each with the remainder.

2 up top with thiam and bradders.

That leaves 2 central midfield so Williams in one slot. **** knows the other.

That's in general because I'm far from convinced anyone else can hack it.

We could have of course not had this issue had we kept scowen.

My Nan is better than Ugbo and she’s been dead for 15 years.

Stick Bradshaw and Thiam up front and keep them there, injury and suspension permitting.

I'm not sure those switches would be game changers. Apart from if Abramovic was in the crowd.
