I've narrowed it down to two. In the red corner it's Jacob Mellis opting not to hit it first time when 4 yards out from goal and in the blue corner it's saint scott deciding that when facing up the pitch with nobody around him the best way to clear the ball is to randomly hit it behind him and out for a throw-in. I think this one goes to Mellis but it's a tough one. Both want dropping really.
How about Dawson and Stones both deciding to up the stats instead of crossing it and then seconds later we are defending a corner!
Those two were absolute belters but like you I'd say the Mellis decision was the worst. I could watch it back a hundred times and I'd still expect him to shoot.
And Mellis again for shying out of a tackle on the half way line, leading to their goal. Should have took one for the team methinks.
The Dawson/Stones complete fcukery for me. To go from a promising attacking position, and then end up gifting the opposition a clear chance through cowardice, is laughable. Great save by Steele though. The look of "I don't know what to do" on Dawson's face was a picture. Pair of em didn't have the balls to be brave. Or sumat.
How about Dawson getting chased back 30 yards and then giving the ball away. Or Stones defensive header back into the middle of our goal, or his back pass straight to their player late on in the 2nd half? there's 3 which on a different day could have left us looking at 4-0 not 1-0
plenty of shitty **** mistakes that show that on the whole a lot of what we've got arnt good enough, and the worst thing is its not the first or last time we'll see it....
