All talented players in their own right but just don’t work together. We’ve seen shocking defensive errors and the forward line hasn’t exactly been potent but in my opinion it’s the midfield that’s been lacking across the season as a whole.
I don't think I've ever seen us use five different keepers in one season. The defence have shipped an alarming number of goals. Connell hasn't tracked back enough to support the defence, Phillips and Russell have scored goals but not created much for the forwards. Or should I say forward singular, since only Keillor-Dunn has been worthy of the name this season? All in all, from back to front and top to bottom, the personnel at the club look unable to turn the tide. Big task ahead close season.
Worst midfield, worst defence and no strikers and no goalkeeper. Done well to end up with a top 4 squad
03/04, we had 6 goalkeepers make a league appearance. Sasa Ilic, Marlon Beresford, Danny Alcock, Tony Caig, Ross Turnbull & Gavin Ward. Scott Flinders was also an unused sub during that season.
