And the team look to be in just the same sort of mess. We all know what happened after that game. We were back to Perkins and Dawson in the centre of midfield, which I thought we'd dispensed with a long time ago due to them clearly not having enough quality. 3-0 down at half time and hardly anyone could even be bothered to boo. I've never known that happen before. I never boo, but dyed in the wool booers were silent. It's more worrying than actually booing. Clearly nobody gives a ***** any more. Cranie won the man of the match. To be honest, one tackle aside, I'd almost forgotten he was playing. It's gotten that bad that we're awarding the man of the match to the player we notice the least, the one that makes the fewest mistakes. I've seen left backs take all the free kicks and corners at other clubs. It doesn't happen too often, but when it does it's because they are free kick experts, they're bloody good at it. Players like Ian Harte or Darren Barnard or John Beresford. Our left back takes everything, but he's not even average at corners and free kicks. He's poor. It's mental. I argued at some length on this forum that we were improving, that the run of draws was the start of something and we'd begin to turn those draws in to victories. That clearly isn't the case, I misjudged the situation badly and got it wrong.
Terrible performance, but Norm got MAN of MATCH spot on with Wisey the only other to come out of it with any credit.
it certainly feels like the darkside ponty, and for the life of me I cant see the light coming anytime soon.Today is just the natural progression of the ***** we've been served up since august.
I don't think Cranie played badly, he just had a quiet game. Bit depressing when the man of the match is the guy who has had a quiet game.
Thought he did well against the big guy first haif, second haif big lad didn`t need to play but like you say depressing that he having a decent game gets it because most of the others were very poor. If McCOURT HAD MADE 2 PASSES HE WOULD HAVE PROBABLY GOT IT.
