Us the fans we were ****!!!!! If we had put as much effort in as the players it might have been a different story!
I thought that myself coming out of the ground If only I had sung louder ODEJAYI MIGHT NOT BE SO feckING ****
Thought fans weren't all that bad until the players signalled their intention to forget how to play... ok so that was only 2 minutes into the match Still, that's what you get when you sell tickets to anyone who 'knows' a season ticket holder as a top priority.
26K part timers drowning out the chants of the 8k who regularly attend maybe? My and my friends were chanting, everyone else around us were looking at us as if to say what the bleeding are you doing...
summed it up when butterfield came on and some useless lovely person stood up,turned round to his mate and shouted "who is he??"
Got to agree There were some of us trying to get some singing going, but people just turned and looked gormless. FFS I'm in my fifties and can still belt out a song, not necessarily in tune, but you can just about make it out! Very poor. We let down the town yesterday.
I sat almost next to the Barnsley fans 10 seats away in fact to the segregation opposite players tunnel. Most of the noise came from behind the goals. We seemed louder as we lead for most of the match and its easier to motivate rather than sit and worry. We have been getting 13k all season and it winds me right up how many new fans turn up for this day out and dont know the words to half the songs I seemed to annoy most people around me by standing up and singing them word perfectly. I thought the acoustics of the stadium was poor that wont help. While walking round twice pre match what we did notice was at the Cardiff End of the ground there was plenty of singing pre-match while in the Barnsley end outisde there was none. We had to go up two escalators once through the turnstyle and after we got up the second and into the bar/kiosk area the singing had already started it was like a carnival cant tell if it was like that in your end obviously. I also noticed there seemed to be a big age difference between fans of both clubs, I'll try and explain. Barnsley fans to me in general seemed to be older or younger than the majority of Cardiff fans with more Barnsley binging more females. We were restricted to x1 Ticket per season ticket holder, x1 Ticket per Ammbasador (almost the same thing), x1 Ticket if you attened a mid week fixture vs Hull and then general sale for what was left with the FA sending down anoher 1000 last week. From what I gather it seemed to me that Barsnely fans were allowed x4 tickets per season ticket, then general sale? Correct me if I'm wrong. It looked like it was a Loyal/Regular Barnsley fan had brought his Kids, Wife and Mum and Dad, more of a family day out that our bunch who were restricted to a ticket each. Our next game will be attended by the loyal 13k of us and the others would have sunken back into the armchair to watch the "Egg Chasers" which according to some is still our "National Sport".
RE: Thank the club's lazy, greedy ticketing policy for that. nt That clears it up then. The fans (so called) didn't get behind the lads in one of the biggest games of the clubs history because of 'the clubs lazy, greedy ticketing policy'. MORE **** SPOKEN ALERT!!! /poo /poo
