...selling Neil Redfearn for £1 million. ****ing shocking decision. As if we were going to replace Redders with a million quid. And then we wasted more plus wages on Mike Sheron.
Dave Regis 2 year contract though we did get shot of Rammell and get 50 grand in the deal. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Mido, 27 minutes of madness and we no doubted swelled his already massive bank balance while he just sat at home eating!
john (wednesday faced turkey neck *******)pearson) and we paid well over a hundred grand for him, leeds must have been laughing their ******** off.
Phil Gridlet... If I hadn't seen him in the away end at Oxford when we played there I would not have believed that he was a real person.
Best - Selling Flinders to Palace for £1m. Worst - Frimpong, Mido, Kennedy, Woods, basically any of the **** we've had to endure this season. Pedersen was a really bad move as well.
Hey, fellow BBSers......just have a look under your noses. Surely TK has to go down as one of the worst contractual decisions?
I think the 4 year deal given to Kevin Donovan has to be up there. I think we ended up just paying him off
Re: Arjan De Zeeuw, let go and replaced by a donkey. One million pound (16 years ago) was good money for Redfearn, and he wanted to go to Charlton so that he could stay in the Premiership so we had no choice but to sell him
Dave Regis (plus £50k) for Rammell was a shocker, as somebody else has pointed out - it came on the back of some bad press about us being a racist club and the fact that we had no black players was held up as an example of how racist we were, but we could have gone out and signed a black footballer instead of that carthorse, he was a bad player and that's when we were a good team!!
Re: Arjan De Zeeuw, let go and replaced by a donkey. He gives a rather different account in his book - that he never asked to leave, was told an offer had been accepted and advised he should go and agree terms. I didn't see that as particularly bad business tbf. He was knocking on and has never been the same player since. We got the very best of Neil Redfearn and he left on a high, leaving us a handsome sum in the bank. The scandalous way that money was subsequently wasted is another matter. IIRC, Spackman blew £750k on Steve Hayward. Ouch.
