I'm 50 years old. Supported us through the Iley years (which were much like the last few ).

Sorry, the team, the manager & the board have let the team down.

This is the worst, since Bobby Doyle was captain. (Something I posted 3 months ago).

It's the worst team I've seen in decades and that includes the Spackman years and the shower of ***** that surrendered our championship status a couple of years ago.

I've been watching since the Allan Clarke years and this is the lowest I can remember feeling.

If you're 50 then surely you've seen worse given we spent most of the 70s in Division 4.

There's been worse teams during your lifetime anyway.

I thought that. It's bad now but the Jim Iley days trump this lot, just. Seen worse but it's not saying much is it.

    Really?

We had a decent captain in Bobby Doyle.

We had strikers like Mick Butler & Brian Joicey

Some skill full lads like Anton Otulakowski Martin Gorre, David Speedie & Allistair Millar.

I pick my words with caution.

Not all the Iley years were bad.

There's a difference between worst teams and worst performances. Everton performance, Altrincham performance.

I saw them both. Problem is the Everton performance has not been seen since. The Altrincham one has been true of most games.
I wasn't at Coventry. Second half sounded like that kind of game. Problem was we were 2-0 down, with f-all to play for at that point.
Sadly it has brought me to the conclusion that the manager IS partially to blame.

I don't disagree. But there's been some Barnsley sides over the years who wouldn't have been capable of that sort of performance against Everton. This team has good enough players to be well up the top half of the table. Awful performances yes, worst team, I personally don't think so...

This side is by far the worst I've seen.

Even the side that took us down under Wilson were more competitive.

The spineless performaces against Leeds at home in that season is what we're now seeing every week in every game.

Only Josh Scowen can come out with any credit.

    The rest are woeful.

If that is the case, you have made the best point for sacking the manager I've read on here.

Well I'm 59 and been going since I was 6. I've seen Johnny Steele, John McSeverny (the worst in my opinion), Iley (we flirted with promotion), Clarkie and so on. I think we have some talented individuals..........and that's the trouble.........individuals !!!. I don't think we are at McSeverny/Spackman levels just yet but boy, we are close.
