RE: No thanks Yep, me and Chef Tyke managed to get lost in Digbeth on the way back to the city centre. All we could here were pub windows being smashed and police dogs barking. The second most scared I have ever been at an away ground (the worst being the flying corner flag at Grimsby)
The flying corner flag We were stood fairly close to where that flag went, then a Barnsley fan threw it back onto pitch and the coppers waded in to get him! Didn't bother with the moron who got on the pitch to throw it in the first place though! Apart from Brum, scariest football related moment for me was in a pub in Sheffield on a Saturday night before the Sunderland-Norwich FA Cup semi. Loads of Sunderland fans in there and having a laugh with them when a group of Sheff Utd fans came in and just kicked off….only time I've witnessed a chair being broken over someones back in a Wild West stylee and also a chair thrown through the plate glass window.
