So we could say "thanks from the BBS"

I know not everyone has/does see eye to eye with Mr Shepherd but I think most of us agree that without him (and Mr Cryne) there would be no Barnsley Football Club.

ive got some old stamps, will they do??? think praise should only be bestowed upon mr cryne, someone who does not feel the need to take the limelight but has personally and quietly stabilised our football club.

I respect what you say but,

Mr Cryne did not want the "limelight". Mr Shepherd has been an unpaid employee of Barnsley Football Club and in my opinion has done enough to warrant some praise.

your right he has done a fairly decent job player wise, allowing davey to develop his squad through sanctioning signings, but perhaps he has let the fans down through failing to understand demand re- ticketing for the fa cup; but all in all dont think he proved to be a steadying influence ( think id rather have a whipround for nurses etc though, people who make a real difference!)

Andy Ritchie was paid by the club

Gordon Shepherd has I believe worked for nothing.

I am sure he isn't expecting anything from the fans but I dont see a problem in the fans giving him a leaving gift if they want to.

Ok here you go Gordon we have had a whip round and got you £23.57p so we got you a voucher to spend in the club shop.

    Reiterate, not warranted, not appropriate.
