And before you all start berating me I've booked and paid for my tickets on the train and don't want to waste the money....but! We need a couple of weeks to get some new blood in and some old out with a bit of time for them to train and get used to a new "Wilson" system. Hopefully it will be on and the rain will relent with us doing some business Monday or Tuesday giving them time to train with the squad. Really down about things at oakwell at the moment hopefully things will turn around Saturday (if it's on) COYR's
Me to jacket! I'm desperate for us to turn things around and sick of travelling back to SELBY on the train every week from wherever we have been looking out of the window thinking is there any point to this if the players don't seem to give a toss. After just recently becoming a dad for the first time I really am struggling sometimes to legislate spending the money and time I do supporting the club when it seems people on the pitch are going through the motions. I hope to take him to a few games when he reaches 19 or whatever age restriction is in place and I would really love him to be watching us in the championship not slugging it out in league 1 or 2.
I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed with the business we do in the January window Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I hope your wrong tomfun but at the moment I'm that disillusioned by it all I fear your probably right.
Think your right there need to get rid of some before we can get a few In and whos going to want tk, dawson and the rest. Will be end of season when we really see a clearout a think just hope he gives some of the young ens a chance for rest of season.
More than a whisper see their official site Following postponing the cup game they are putting a dome over the pitch for a week and then planning to level it out again - not at all clear if they are planning to play next Sat but they are saying Wednesdays rearranged date for the cup game isnt going to happen "With the state of the pitch becoming a growing concern, Deputy Head Groundsman Nathan Chapman discussed the options to return it to optimum condition. He said: “We're going to place a dome on the surface for a week to dry the pitch out and then we can work with the bigger machinery to get it flat and dried out to a level where it's playable. Chapman revealed the Valley pitch's woes of late are attributed to a partial collapse of its drainage system which cannot be rectified until the end of the current campaign. That's right pi55ed me off that! The planning that has gone into me getting to the Charlton match may all be in vain. I now may end up at the science museum with the wife and kids and several of the wife's friends and their kids!!! I think what I'll do is avoid making any reference to the game and try to avoid letting the wife have access to any TVs or the internet on Saturday morning. At least I can then pretend that I didn't know it was off until I got to the ground, like at Hibernian a couple of years ago. So at least I can say it was too late to get to the science museum and stay in the pub. Or maybe even go down to watch Wimbledon v Torquay instead and strike that ground off my list. Methinks buying the wife and daughter tickets to see Matilda on Sunday was only the beginning of my devious planning for this weekend...
Obviously, it won't affect me as I'm not going anyway, but I think it would be a good thing if it was called off (sorry to you guys who have booked transport). I was thinking after the match that it is a shame we have to keep playing each week. We can't expect things to change when Danny has had no chance to change things. He needs time to work with them and whilstever we keep having to play in quick succession it makes him (and them) look bad. Hopefully, with a bit of time to train, and the possibility of people coming in/going out during the transfer window, we might finally see some improvements - fingers crossed.
