...that partially viewed your own property?

I'm thinking of installing this on the front and back of my house but for it to be at a useful angle it's going to have a neighbours house in view. I just want it to record my car and front of the house for if anyone tries to nick the car or break in, and at the back, again for a possible break in or someone nicking my washing off the line.

If I could put it up stealthily I doubt anyone would even notice the cameras, but I've installed it for a friend before and it becomes pretty obvious to anyone that sees you what you are doing with all the drilling and running of cables.

I am often away at the weekend so it would be nice to take advantage of the smartphone apps that allow you to view your camera feed and what has been recorded.

It would if it was overlooking the back garden or if you could see in the windows. A bit of wall or a bit of drive then no, but anything other than that...

My neighbours just had some installed, and they look over our back garden and those of other neighbours. The cameras are inside black domes on the side of the house so (without viewing their screens) there's no way of seeing where they point.

At least one of the others is concerned about it but it doesn't bother me. If it helps put some thief behind bars then so much the better.

    Just a few questions.....

    Which weekends are you away

When do you think you will get it installed by.

Do you have any other security and what are the codes.

    What's your address.

    Thanks in advance :D

Ps.... which room is the safe in?

In the bedroom mate - if you can get in it you're welcome to the contents...mainly my passport, driving licence counterpart and some out of circulation currency.

From what I can work out it would show a very small section of their back garden as most of the view is blocked by their extension anyway, I know I could just go and ask them but I think that might risk making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Wireless IP camera's. Cheap and very easy to install, no drilling or anything. Got them installed in the warehouse and a couple at home

If it was getting my drive or a path to the house or something then id welcome it as it protects me too but if it was viewing my back garden or something like that i wouldnt be happy at all

I wouldnt bw happy with that. My back garden is my private space and I dont want to be recorded in it. I think putting it up without approaching them first is far worse than asking them also.

Yeah I'd probably go for that type, the pan, tilt, zoom ones as well if I can get some decent ones cheap enough, but I'd still need to drill through to get power.

I will, just waiting to drop on them in the back garden and I'll casually mention it in conversation rather than make a big deal of it by knocking on the door.
