to follow up the "yoyo thread" by Mad_monk there are a few things id like to say.

since i Started Watching Barnsley in 1996-97, Barnsley have seen 2 promotions and 2 Relegations, we have seen relegation battles and near misses in the Playoffs. after watching nearly ten years of highs and lows ive decided that mediocrity in one league is not really what excites me even if it's in the championship. when we do well or bad it gives us the excitement or something to talk about, its when the passion really comes out. if i had seen 10 seasons of barnsley finishing in 12th place i would have been bored.

The team is struggling at the minute but we could stay up just like when ISiah Rankin scored to stop us having 2 straight relegations or we could go down and have another season pushing for promotion or even fighting for our lives, either way Barnsley FChas never, ever beena boring club to support and that is why week after week we keep going and we take whatever comes in our stridebecause we know there is always going to be something there in that home we call Oakwell that enthralls us to go there rather than any other club in the country.

Okay so that sounds more like a post about why to be a Barnsley fan than the inititial point for the poll but i hope ive made some kindof impact!

Im torn between the two really. The championship is the place to be for many reasons, better quality, press coverage, bigger crowds etcc.. but i would hate to just keep finishing mid table, for me unless we are pushing or at least have a chance of pushing for playoff / promotion then I am inclined to go for the yoyo approach

I don't want to see another relegation in my lifetime.

Sadly, it looks like I will.

Midtable in the second division, slowly building and getting sorted for a tilt at play offs or promotion will do me for the next 10 years
