Oh yes indeed! I used to love the british Championships at the end of the season. Methinks the police overtime bill would be astronomical if you added up the total cost(s) for policing the games........... And who can forget sending the Jocks to Argentina with a flea in their ear (2-0 to England at Hampden Park). That year, Scotland played all their games at Hampden, not one away fixture which was unusual? Who remembers Willie Donachie's own goal late on in the game against either the Welsh or the Irish? For years after that, if someone scored a long range own goal it was referred to as "a Donachie" by myself and comrades alike.
    Happy days indeed!

Would provide some proper interest. You'd go to those matches.

    RE: Why did they stop?

Dwindling crowds was a major contributor to their decline methinks.
They also reckon it was well naughty when England started taking large numbers to Glasgow, but in all honesty i can't see the latter being the reason for ending the Championships.

Glasgow isn't really that friendly after alcohol has kicked in

Nevermind with the added tension being surrounded by us English!

Honestly though, it's only the minority who try and cause trouble, most of these Weegies are friendly people.

    Bring it back, I say!
