I was born there. Lived there a bit when I was in my twenties. My sister lives there. Takes her 3/4 of an hour to go 2 miles every morning.
My missus grew up in Wandsworth, had many a happy hour in The Old Sergeant.. (pub that is, not a bloke) I wouldnt want to go back there to live but its like anywhwere else in this country, like tarn, theres good bits and bad bits.
That would be too easy wouldn't it? I drive all over London me, all the way to Fulham Broadway station sometimes. Christ on a bike!
Places in England that one may inhabit In order of preference Broomhill near Wombwell..............................for the birds My present place of residence........................most things I need on the door step West End of London.......................................or as near to the West End as you can get - fantastic, exciting, different Leeds or Sheffield City Centre.........................near TARN but with a city atmosphere York area, but definitly no further north............quaint, couple of nice pubs in the village etc........and near to TARN Wouldn't live anywhere else in Britain But would consider places abroard
RE: Places in England that one may inhabit You want to live in Leeds or Sheffield? That would make you one of those people you despise. Supporting a team in another town/City!!!!! Or would you change allegiance too?
Obviously not read my notes Let me repeat (again!)............I do not hate or dislike fans of the Sheffield clubs or Leeds However, I do very much dislike the fans of the Sheffield clubs and Leeds that have no links to those cities (e.g. their family is not from there)..............and they were born and bred in the Barnsley district BIG difference
Of the places I've lived in... Barnsley, South Yorks - Gotta like the tarn... great countryside all around. Preston, Lancashurr - Not bad. Decent enough town with student population. Milton Keynes, Bucks - Absolutely appalling... just a shopping mall and business estate. Whitehaven, Cumbria - Way too small and isolated seaside town... you'd have to really want that sort of stuff. Ulverston, Cumbria - Fairly quaint festival town but cliquey. One for the farmers. Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria - Isolated, backward but great beaches and community. Bristol - Excellent city. Cool, relaxed, great nightlife and facilities. The best place I've lived by a mile. Adelaide, SA - In four weeks time I'll be able to tell thi.
So all those who drive in London do so unnecessarily?
You don't see any reason to use a car?
