It could be something that happens with football fans in years to come,we would have a brilliant chance of going up with him back would you pay £5 a week,2,000 fans would give the club £10,000 a week.

That would be £260.00 per year.

Aren't season ticket holders already paying that amount?

    I'd pay 50p a week

    2,500 fans paying 50p/wk = £1,250/wk
then if the club get shut of Conlon and give his wages to Chops he'd be on about £2,250/wk. Add a goal bonus and wage rise dependant on promotion and I reckon he'd be a happy chappy

They are but sadly we have to face the facts there isnt enough fans buying season tickets to finance a Premiership players wages.

A business owner might want to pay £20 a week it would be paid by the taxman anyway.

What if the direct debits were cancelled?

Club has to fund all wages for a player

    Premiership player?

We don't have any premiership players to warrent a premiership wage.

Then when we get UP by this method and we need to upgrade most of our squad to stay up are you going to multiply your £5 by the number of players you need ??

So I just tell the taxman

that the £80 per month going out of my business account is to fund a BFC player's wage and he says yep thats OK, there's a legitimate business expense if ever I saw one. Yeh right.

I think everyone should set up a standing order...........

I think everyone should set up a standing order of 4 1/2 pints of milk and a collection of Brow Olives made payable to Mel Machin's Great Grandparents - thus funding them to create a life like model of Peter Beardsley made entirely of Stilton Cheese. I'm sure this would increase our promotion chances. Neear mind Chopra.

yes,but only if Gordon ( I do this job for nothing ) Shepherd also contributed. Otherwise a resounding no.

We would only be in the Championship,we have players at Oakwell who would easily play at Championship level

RE: So I just tell the taxman

As a business owner my accountant told me that i can pay my staff(only 1 person)up to £3,000 a year as long as it is deemed to be a "gift"or something along those lines likewise you can give to charity without it being taxable on your business.

    And your point is?

As neither of those eventualities is relevant here?

    RE: No

No, but I would to get a decent defence.

Both fullback positions would be my priority, and may be a decent centre half.

They must be players who can cut it in the Championship. Too many in our team would not be able to hold their own at a higher level even if we were promoted this season.

You only need to score one goal to win a match?
