    A tricky one i know.

I personally hope he proves the majority wrong.

I also agree with Joey that no one should take the personal abuse SD has been subject to.

PC will decide what is best for the club.

He really does not want to waste his time and money.

He has to go for me.
I can't recall any example at any club where a manager has turned a situation round when he has been so unpopular with the fans. I can only see one conclusion and I hope it happens sooner rather than later.

I agree with you about personal abuse although to be fair I didn't hear that much of it on Saturday. I didn't go last night so can't comment on that.

Agree with personal abuse but, sadly, I think his time has come n he must now go. It really should have been after the Plymouth game at end of last season. PC should have shuck his hand and said thanks for keeping us up then parted company.

He'd have done him a favour had he done so. He would soon have landed another job as his CV at that stage still looked ok on paper despite the cracks that those of us watching BFC could see.
All that will happen now is that he will get sacked after 10/12 games with us stuck in the bottom 3 and SD will struggle to get another club.

Congratulations for being the first to answer the question

I agree.. succeed ! and as you say anyone who doesn't has a personal rather than professional issue with SD.

    There are

There are quite a few examples - though usually after a few months not 3 years.

Even Fergie was hanging by a thread in his first season at Manure

Howard Kendall was a lucky cup victory away from being fired by Everton under fan pressure before he won the league for them etc.

I'm pretty sure it is personal with some on here.

I'd love to see him succeed but it isn't going to happen or at least it looks very much like it wont.

Every time, at every club fans call for a manager to be sacked.....

Someone says "no one should take the personal abuse...."

blah, blah, blah. Its not personal, I don't know Simon Davey as a person, its about how he "manages" BFC, simple as. I don't care if he sleeps with the dead or is even Welsh, what counts is that 90 mins on a Saturday - seriously, its nothing "personal"
