If someone came in with a big cash injection. Like someone is doing at Ipswich, and has done at Hull/many other teams! I think PC/GS have done brilliant, but they can only do so much! Would be nice to have some millions and buy some top quality players to add to the squad!! We could also finish the ground off with a tidy west stand My mam is thinking of writing to the council to ask them to help build a new west stand as our home town Hull has built a bloody 43 million pound stadium - surly they could manage 1 stand!! Doesn't have to be massive, so the house's behind could remain the same!
Look how good Hull are doing. But yeah I agree. The west stand makes the ground look average but I suppose it gives it some character and history.
RE: Look how good Hull are doing. they should just pull it down-reduce capacity which we don't need at the moment
It would reduce capacity but wouldn't reduce attendances! We've only had one side of the ground before !

We don't need a new West Stand It's a waste of money building plush seats nobody will sit in.
and Ipswich aren't really getting a cash injection, they a getting 30 million of debts paid and a bit of spending money to boot, but it's mainly servicing huge debts

A New West Stand Would Be Good It would only have to be a smart one tier, with the option to put a tier on top later. It would finish off the smartness of the ground and give us the chance to add more executive boxes to fill on matchdays.
All or stands have been financed by the sale of a player, so Would you rather sell Muller and Howard and have a new west stand
or keep the team together and stay in the division

We need to fill the executive boxes we have now before we build any more, Still loads of room in the current suites.
Surely that wasn't a serious comment It's like saying my mortgage and my shopping bill are unconnected because they both get paid out of a different bank account
Nobody else is putting money into those bank accounts though other than me. I keep looking, and never ever does money I didn't know I had magically appear!

not quite the same two seperate legal entities are involved. It would be like you receiving your wage and mr jones next door paying your shopping bill
Mr Jones sounds like a very nice chap I get the two legal owners bit, but to continue the analogy, Mr Jones has no interest in paying my shopping bill unless I'm cooking him tea, which I'm not ... so he ain't ever going to do it
The council won't pay to extend the ground ... especially when they know we don't need the capacity, so the only people that will finance it are the club. So I believe my question still stands, spend our money on the team or plush empty seats?

There's clearly a generous benifactor somewhere waiting to give us money because apparently the money won't come out of the pot that funds the team
RE: Mr Jones sounds like a very nice chap oh sorry, I got a bit carried away then... errr team, there's no point revamping the west stand when we can't fill the others.
So why won't you cook Mr Jones his tea... mardy bugger !!!

At one time maybe..... It's a complex debate but to cut through it I think the govt pisses money away.
